Cape Town, perched between the ocean and the mountain, with a national park at its heart, is a place in which to renew and reconnect. Cape Town, also known as 'the Mother City', is the oldest city in South Africa and has a cultural heritage spanning more than 300 years.

The Cape Town Central area is situated at the foot of Table Mountain and is a relatively small area, which allows for easy exploration on foot. Along with the City Centre and Table Bay Harbour, Cape Town Central includes the trendy city suburbs of Vredehoek, Oranjezicht and Tamboerskloof. Many of Cape Town's villas, restaurants and cafes in these areas have spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Harbour.

Vibey Green Point and Mouille Point also form part of the Cape Town City area and are well established areas with their own distinctions. Mouille Point, boasting the oldest operational lighthouse on the South Africa coastline, is the start of the seafront promenade which follows a stretch of the Atlantic coast. Green Point is well known as the heart of Cape Town's gay scene. Here visitors will find some of the best gay bars, clubs, cabaret and theatre venues.
